Thank you so much for posting this. My BB Curve 8320 would recognize my Netgear WNR2000 fine, but would never shift to UMA. I wanted to use my wifi connection because my cell reception is so poor in my home. I didn't do exactly what you advised, but rather changed the security settings to WPA-PSK, auto channel, mode up to 300 mbps. I then manually added the network on my BB, wifi preferred (or even wifi only), and UMA immediately came up with a good wifi connection. I saw a related post that advised editing the wifi profile to allow inter-access point handover, which is supposed to minimize dropped calls and problems with pcs accessing the wifi at the same time. I have absolutely no understanding of what this all means, but it seems to work. So thanks.

Thanks for posting this! I pretty much went through the same thing but only dealt with Blackberry support (who didn't help at all but were quite nice).<br>Now I'm connected just fine to UMA but I've been experiencing periodic (maybe 3x/wk) complete loss of wireless signal. My home PC can see the wired connection but my other wireless computers AND my blackberries all lose connection! The only thing that I didn't do that you did was to switch to b/g and channel 11. I'll try this and keep my fingers crossed...

Jeff9a9, I have the same problem with dropped calls on WiFi with the RangeMax, but it never drops on other WiFi routers. I'm not sure what the fix is here, but I'm going to look into it.

My issue now is that WiFi crashes during a call and reverts back to EDGE. Also, my phone randomly (even with regular batt pulls) will quit rcvg/launching calls. I suspect there is a setting on the RangeMax that will address this. I am using WPA2 security and have never had an issue connecting. I also don't have this issue over LinkSys or with any other network I connect my 8900 Curve to.
